Privacy policy
This policy describes the current FindJob app and website experience. We will update it when connected services change.
Information used by the app
- Job searches, filters, saved jobs, saved searches, application records, profile drafts and notification preferences that you choose to enter.
- Your Google or Apple account name, email address and account identifier when you choose that sign-in option. Apple may provide a private relay email address.
- Information you submit when requesting featured placement for a job posting.
- Basic technical information needed to deliver the service, limit abuse and diagnose errors.
Where information is stored
The current job-seeker workspace, including saved jobs, searches, profile drafts and CV drafts, is stored in the browser on your device. Google or Apple sign-in creates a server account and session. Featured-placement requests are stored for review. The current application and CV tools record preparation progress; they do not send an application or CV file to an employer unless a connected service clearly says so.
AI cover-letter drafts
If you choose to generate a cover letter, the selected job details and profile information needed for the draft are sent to an external AI provider. The currently configured provider is MiniMax in mainland China. The request excludes your account contact details, but may contain work history, education, skills and languages that you included in your profile. Please review what you enter before requesting a draft. FindJob also keeps a daily-use record derived from your network address to limit requests.
Job and external content
FindJob displays job information from FindJob and Hong Kong Government sources. Opening an employer or government link takes you to an external service with its own privacy practices.
Permissions
The web experience does not request contacts, precise background location, microphone or camera access. We will update this policy and store disclosures before adding new permissions or analytics services.
Your choices
You can change the app language, notification preferences and profile visibility in the app. Guest data can be removed by clearing the app's site data. Signed-in users can delete their FindJob account and saved workspace data from Account settings. For a copy of your data, contact support.
